The national flag of Viet Nam was officially adopted by an Ordinance
of June 14, 1948, signed by the Chief of the Temporary National
Government of Viet Nam.

Well, here it is: the current flag of Viet Nam was
officially put into use by the then North Viet Nam on 30 November
1955.

of June 14, 1948. This flag is now called the Vietnamese freedom flag
for all exiled vietnamese people live all over the world.
